WASHRIDING TECHNIQUE & DRILLS
Washirding is an essential skill and tactic for all paddlers to acquire. Canoe-kayak athletes should start to develop these skills as early as possible, not just as a skill to be successful in long distance competitions, but also as an tool for those long paddles. On this page, you will find resources (description, video, etc) of proper washriding technique, as well as drills to work on washriding. If you would like to contribute any resources to this page, contact Peter Niedre at pniedre@canoekayak.ca .
