Richard Dober Jr.
Bio
Edit BioRichard’s most memorable paddling memory occurred not long ago. In 2006, Richard and his partner Andrew Willows won silver in the K-2 500 m at the 2006 World Championships in Szeged, Hungary. The crew finished 6th in the 2007 World Championships and earned Canada the opportunity to enter this event in the 2008 Summer Olympic Games. The duo also had a number of medal performances in World Cup competition in 2007, thereby establishing themselves as medal contenders as they headed to the Olympic Games in Beijing. Richard will now compete in the World Championships in 2009.
Richard lives and trains in Trois Rivières, Quebec, his hometown. He has been kayaking as long as he can remember, and was influenced by his father who competed in Marathon Canoeing. He recently completed his Doctor of Chiropracty at the University of Quebec in Trois Rivières.
