IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
Pleasure Craft Operator Card
As of September 15th, 2009, all motor boat operators now require a Canadian Pleasure Craft Operator Card in order to drive a motorboat. There is no grandfathering clause, or minimal size of motorboat. Driving a motorboat without a license is an offense, and could subsequently lead to a fine.
All canoe-kayak coaches entering the NCCP to become trained or certified coaches at ANY LEVEL must acquire their Pleasure Craft Operator Card.
Clubs should be stringent in ensuring that all coaches driving motorboats have their license.
Take your Pleasure Craft Operator Card Exam at www.boaterexam.com/canada .
